The end of a chapter

September 8, 2006 - The end of a chapter! Today was my last day at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs - my home away from home for over a year. I'm definitely leaving with mixed emotions: on one hand, I'm very excited about my new job and the new opportunity, but on the other, I'm leaving a whole bunch of friends and colleagues. I mean, what am I going to during lunch now? and who will I visit when I'm bored?

Being that MMAH was my first job, I really couldn't ask for anything more. I achieved what I came to do: to get a permanent job and then transfer elsewhere - to a place where I will get to do more of what I'm interested in (not that housing was really THAT bad). I mean, there were certainly ups and downs, but even in the "downs", at least I had a strong group of friends to support me. I probably won't ever get to work with such a great group of people again.

So today, they threw me a nice little farewell party. I also received a big gift card for Chapters-Indigo (over $100 for lots and lots of books!). It was nice to be recognized I guess =)

Well the end of yet another chapter - and a new beginning on Monday. Hopefully things will be ok :S
